I like this image. I believe you thought carefully about the composition to great effect. The foreground foliage and the trees on the right hand side of the far shore combine to guide the eye to the distant pass between the mountains.
There is plenty here to explore with the minds eye. The rocks in the lake with its dead calm surface, clouds in the sky and that very obliging bit of foliage on the near shore
I do however, wonder about the tree in the foreground on the left side. I do not think it adds anything to the picture and is a little distracting. With other features pointing to a specific area it seems strange to see a tree at a drunken angle seemingly going nowhere. Perhaps I do you an injustice here and if so I apologise but a critique should include constructive criticism as well as praise.
I also wonder if a slightly lower view would have moved the far shore slightly higher into the image (to the 2/3rds position perhaps) removing a little of the sky which is a little too weak in my opinion to warrant so much space.
The distant features seem a little hazy and that is a shame but that would be outside of your control. Sometimes we just have to settle with what nature offers us and do our best to depict it as is!
All in all a great image that is very pleasing to the eye and one to be proud of ...
